Viktoria Capek is the Communications and Development Manager at The Venture Center, a non-profit in Arkansas where she drives communication, public relations, and content creation strategies, focusing on economic and entrepreneurial growth with an emphasis on inclusivity for women, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community. Her career first took off in broadcast news in Little Rock, where Viktoria advanced to lead overnight-breaking news reporter and TV host, addressing issues like the gender wage gap and underrepresentation of QTBIPOC individuals in broadcasting. She holds a master’s degree in Arts Journalism from the University of Southern California and has received a National Arts and Entertainment Journalism Award.
Beyond her role at The Venture Center, Viktoria has managed media for the Athena Film Festival in New York City, a women’s leadership-centric event and founded “Hairpins,” a bi-monthly event for queer women in Arkansas. Through these initiatives, she continues to be a vital voice for change, creativity, and resilience in her community.
