Everyone wants to be more ‘spiritual’—but who can fit that into a busy life in the real world? It’s easy to think that a spiritual life is a luxury, the province of people with time (and money) on their hands or ethereal types taking refuge from reality.
However, as the author explains, this is nonsense. Spirituality is a need, not a luxury, and it’s not something we have to make time for or seek in the outside world. We don’t have to become spiritual. Rather, our task—and it’s a simple but crucial one—is to live fully as the spiritual beings we already are.
Through personal stories, probing questions, and practical wisdom, Annemarie Postma takes spirituality out of the clouds and brings it within our reach. In her own no-nonsense style, she shows us a way to live a truly spiritual life with our feet on the ground.
‘The Secret Within speaks to us in a voice we recognize . . . It enriches our spiritual wisdom in a very clear, practical, and down-to-earth manner. Therefore, a book for everyone and anyone who wants to make spirituality a part of their regular everyday lives.’
– Tulku Lama Lobsang, Tibetan doctor and teacher of Buddhism
